I am currently in private practice at St. Heliers Dental Group, Auckland and a Professional Practice Fellow at the Auckland Faculty of Dentistry. I am an executive board member of the Auckland Dental Association and vice president of the New Zealand Institute of Minimal Intervention Dentistry.

After navigating the minefield of financial information for my personal finances, I become passionate about teaching financial literacy. This interest has led me to continue my education with a N.Z Certificate in Financial Services and become a Financial Adviser (FA) and a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) in 2021. In 2022, I will become the first New Zealander to complete the Money Quotient Financial “life” Planning education.

I graduated from the University of Otago at the end of 2017 and have been working in Auckland since. I work in a practice which sees a mix of public and private patients. I have also recently started work at the Auckland branch of the University of Otago, Faculty of Dentistry, tutoring the final year dental students.

Last year I took on the two year  role of Auckland representative for the Young Dentist Action Group for the NZDA. Being a recent graduate myself, I recognise the challenges associated with being new to this profession. Using my ties with the YDAG, the ADA, and the students at the dental school, I hope to encourage and promote the involvement and participation of young dentists in the Auckland region.

Dr. Barry Ramji is an experienced dentist in private practice. His passion is restorative dentistry and periodontal health. He enjoys mentoring younger dentists and loves sharing tips and tricks, especially with restorative care. He has been restoring dental implants for over 3 decades.

Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago School of Dentistry in 2018. 

He works as a general practitioner with a keen interest in preventative dentistry and digital dentistry. 

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and video games.

Matthew's responsibilities include the ADA's philanthropic & public health relationships promoting dental welfare in the Auckland Community and abroad.

Dr Mark Ma (Prosthodontist) graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2016 and worked in private practice before completing the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at the University of Melbourne.  

His thesis involved a literature review and the development of a novel instrument-based assessment tool for sleep bruxism.  Although Mark is passionate about all aspects of prosthodontics, his special interests are in removable prosthodontics, fixed removable

prosthodontics (conventional and implant based) and the management of orofacial pain.

Ray graduated from the University of Otago in 1983 with a passion for Periodontics, Sedation Dentistry and Orthodontics. In 1988 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Periodontics. Over the course of his career he has continued to stay up to date with the latest advancements and attends courses regularly to ensure that he is providing the bestpossible care for our patients. Ray is a Senior Master Fastbraces Provider.  In addition to his clinical work, Ray is a dedicated volunteer Dentist to communities locally and abroad.  Outside of the office Ray enjoys hiking, travelling and spending time with his family. He is a proud grandfather to 3 beautiful girls and a keen fisherman.
